We’ve still got a little over a year before Halo Infinite is set to launch, but that last year is going to come under different leadership. Creative director Tim Longo has departed from developer 343 Industries this week, and executive producer Mary Olson has moved into a lead producer role for the game’s campaign.

“The overall creative vision and production of the game remains led by Chris Lee, studio head of Halo Infinite,” Microsoft says, confirming Longo’s departure and Olson’s new role. Sources tell Kotaku that Longo had moved into a different position at 343 a few weeks ago, before departing the company entirely.

“Tim Longo has recently departed our team and we are truly thankful for his many contributions to our games, our studio, and the Halo universe,” Microsoft says. “We wish Tim nothing but the best in his future endeavors.” Longo had been with 343 since 2013, and before that he served as creative director at both LucasArts and Crystal Dynamics.
