July 8, 2019 Twitch streamer MrDeadMoth has pleaded guilty to assault charges after his arrest last year.
Last year, streamer Luke ‘MrDeadMoth’ Munday was arrested for common assault after a Twitch broadcast appeared to include audio of Munday striking his pregnant wife. Now, the 26-year-old has pleaded guilty to those charges, and will face charges for his actions next month.
Munday entered his plea this morning at Picton Local Court in Australia, as the country’s ABC News reports. An agreed statement of facts says that Munday admitted to slapping his partner and holding her on the ground after she had thrown objects at him and his computer, and that the assault was witnessed by the couple’s two children.
According to the statement, Munday told police at the time of his arrest that “I just held her down because I wanted her to stop.” Sentencing is set for August 26. Munday had previously been charged with malicious damage and common assault in 2011, though those charges were not domestic.
