Against all odds, Star Wars Battlefront II has become a game people simply play and enjoy – and not just the poster child for the industry’s monetisation problems. That’s thanks in large part to a lengthy run of free content updates, and this week’s batch promises plenty of substantial new stuff. Plus, the developers are teasing new content for the impending release of the Rise of Skywalker.

The Felucia update lands on September 25, and its biggest addition is the titular Clone Wars planet. Matching its (brief) appearance in Revenge of the Sith and other corners of the Star Wars universe, it’s vegetation-choked planet with plenty of sneaky flanking routes, as well as explosive poison spores and a sarlaac pit.

The update will also reintroduce the Instant Action mode, which will let you take on “large-scale combat” against AI opponents with tweakable difficulty and match length options. You’ll be able to take on these matches in both single-player and four-player co-op rounds, though only on Clone Wars locations at launch.
