Today, we’re pleased to reveal what we’ve been working on for the past 12 months. The latest update for No Man’s Sky, Beyond, is out now for all No Man’s Sky Xbox One owners to download for free.
This is the biggest update yet, bringing together a whole host of new features. Some of them are things that you, the Xbox One No Man’s Sky community, have been eagerly requesting, and some of them will be a surprise to even the most dedicated explorers.
With the Xbox One launch in 2018, and the Next update, No Man’s Sky took a dramatic leap forward in terms of realising the original vision for the game: a beautiful procedurally-generated open-world universe which players could explore solo or with their friends, build elaborate bases on lush living planets, interact and trade with alien races, or engage in combat against space pirates.
With the Beyond update, we have gone the extra mile to pack in as many new features and upgrades as we can, catering to the wide range of ways in which the community plays No Man’s Sky. So much so that we’re calling this 2.0.
As mentioned previously, an overhaul of multiplayer and social connectivity has been a focus to enable players to find each other more easily, go on missions together and visit each other’s bases.
When we do an update for No Man’s Sky, it’s never just a single thing. It’s dozens of features, tweaks and improvements that the community are hungry for.
For those that have yet to step into the No Man’s Sky universe, there has never been a better time to join your friends and come and explore.
For those who have been with us since the Next update, we thank you sincerely for your support. We are confident that there are more than a few things in this huge update for you too.
Our journey continues.
