One year after introducing a library of games for paid Nitro subscribers, Discord is abandoning the feature. The company says it will not be renewing its contracts with the developers it worked with to provide the games, saying that very few Nitro subscribers used the feature.

“We learned a lot from all of you over the last year,” the company said in a blog post dated September 12, via VentureBeat. “Through your valuable feedback, it became clear that while we and some of you love these games, the truth is the vast majority of Nitro subscribers didn’t play them.”

That catalogue included games like Soma, Inside, Shadow Tactics, and Torchlight 2 when it launched last October, expanding to encompass a fairly impressive, if aging, list of titles. Most, however, were games that have been available at steep discounts or even free elsewhere.
Players who did subscribe to Discord’s Nitro plan for the games do have relief: Discord says it’s offering a refund for users who want to cancel Nitro over this upcoming change.

Subscribers will be able to play the full library until October 15, at which point Discord will be shutting the feature down. Games purchased from the Discord store and Nitro Game Perks are unaffected by the change.
